ArmInfo. The resignation of Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan, the release of the detained three deputies created prerequisites for the beginning of a new stage in the development of the Republic of Armenia. This is stated in the statement of the Supreme Body of ARF Dashnaktsutyun.
The party's statement to ArmInfo says, in particular, that the right start of this stage should be achieved through dialogue, form a political agenda that will include a timetable for necessary rapid reforms and a road map.
"The ARFD will continue its efforts to form this dialogue," the statement said. At the same time, the importance of the exclusively peaceful nature of the people's movement is noted. "The nationwide achievement gained on the eve of the day of commemoration of the victims of the Armenian Genocide must be made a day of national unity and a powerful signal of the take-off development of our country," the ARFD noted.
Recall that on April 21 the party issued a call to power and protesters to start a dialogue to overcome the current situation without shocks. The ARFD statement said that this step would help to avoid further escalation, which could lead to serious consequences for the people and the state. "This moment is full of internal and external threats and risks," the party statement said.
A few days ago, the ARFD actively lobbied Serzh Sargsyan's candidature as the country's premier, asserting his indispensability and no alternative.
