ArmInfo. The events unfolding in Armenia are becoming a serious challenge for the state. The Director of the National Security Service of Armenia Georgy Kutoyan stated in an interview with the state news agency Armenpress. As Kutoyan stated, it's time to be more vigilant and prudent in order to avoid further irreversible consequences.
According to him, the agency permanently carries out activities aimed at forecasting and neutralizing threats to the security of the Republic. According to the opinion of authoritative international experts, as Kutoyan pointed out, until recently Armenia was perceived as one of the safest countries in the world. "Unfortunately, the observation of the goals pursued and the public, as well as the hidden motives of recent events, shows that successive attempts are made to violate the above balance, which is a direct attack not on the authorities, or individual state and political figures, but on the foundations of statehood," he declared.
In particular, the National Security Service of Armenia in the course of its activity came to the conclusion that along with the implementation of its constitutional law, the citizens of the country, a number of persons, external and internal forces and groups that are intent on shaking the foundations of statehood, hope to implement their plans against the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia, inviolability its state borders and territorial integrity. As the head of the National Security Service noted, individuals and groups, trying to take advantage of the situation, are trying to carry out socially dangerous acts, aggravate the situation even more, spreading the atmosphere of fear through the planned violent actions across the country.
Georgy Kutoyan also expressed concern over the intensification of actions directed against the defense capability of the republic. According to the Service, the developing events are already becoming a serious challenge directed against the statehood of the Republic of Armenia. The head of the national security body calls for solidarity and prudence. At the same time, warns those who are trying to "fish in muddy water," that everyone, without exception, will not go unpunished. "The action of each person will receive a commensurate assessment in full," he said.
