ArmInfo. In recent days, there has been an accumulation of Azeri Armed Forces on the front line with Artsakh, and some exercises have been carried out on their part that have caused our concern. The Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan stated this at a press conference on April 23.
He noted that the Ministry of Defense was obliged to inform the public that a similar situation had developed. "We are not going to intimidate our public, our public should be sure that the army of defense will fulfill its task. The whole issue is that we must be honest with our people," the minister concluded.
Asked how Sargsyan would act if his children decided to take part in protest actions, the minister said: "I would forbid my children to participate in protest actions because they are underage and I am responsible for their physical security and all other issues," Sargsyan said.
Vigen Sargsyan also touched upon the calls of students who studied at the best foreign universities at the expense of the "Luys" foundation and who called on Serzh Sargsyan to leave his post. "The Prime Minister, without any preconditions, provided students with the opportunity to study at the top 10 universities in the world: it is an opportunity to get a free education for free without any preconditions and restrictions, without any demands, and after that, it is unacceptable that some young people who have received such a brilliant opportunity are credited with the right to give advice to our Prime Minister, and many of them, who are not even in Armenia now, give advice to the Prime Minister, meanwhile, they have done nothing for the development of our country Even though they were educated, they received a good education, but this does not give them the right to advise state leaders," Sargsyan said.
Touching on the fact that many show business stars return titles and medals, the minister said that they can support the people in many ways, besides, he considered that for many it is just PR. Sargsyan said that now is not the time to use the situation in the country in order to prove something to someone.
The minister also stressed that the fact that Nikol Pashinyan claims only one option for solving this problem does not mean that he does not represent other possible options. "If Nikol Pashinyan sees solutions that contribute to the improvement of certain spheres in our country, then we are ready to discuss them. But he must understand that politics all or nothing, in this case does not justify itself, it is wrong to create power in the square, "the minister said.
In conclusion, the minister noted that he hopes that in the near future the parties will come to a compromise and this unstable situation will remain in the past.
