ArmInfo.First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Armenia Karen Karapetyan is going to a meeting with the leader of the opposition movement "Make a step, turn down Serge" by Nikol Pashian, whose whereabouts are not known until now.
This was announced after a meeting was held in the presidential residence with the participation of Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan, President Armen Sargsyan, First Deputy Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, President Bako Sahakyan. The meeting was attended by the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, the chairman of the National Assembly Ara Babloyan, the chairman of the Public Council Vazgen Manukyan.
Karen Karapetyan also said that, according to the decision adopted at the end of the meeting, he is going to appeal to the Prosecutor General to withdraw from the National Assembly an application for the arrest of three deputies - Nikol Pashinyan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Sasun Mikaelyan.
Note, however, that in the morning the faction of the Republican Party received an order to vote "for" depriving the three opposition members of their immunity during the special meeting of the National Assembly. The decision was canceled in the last minute.
On April 23, the President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan took part in a meeting with the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan on the internal political situation in Armenia.
The meeting was attended by Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan, Chairman of the National Assembly Ara Babloyan, First Deputy Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, Chairman of the Public Council Vazgen Manukyan.
It should be reminded that the leader of the protest movement, MP Nikol Pashinyan, despite his parliamentary immunity, was isolated on the eve of law enforcement bodies, almost an hour after the "failed" meeting of Sargsyan-Pashinyan. This happened during the march along Artsakh street in the capital district of Erebuni.
The police in special regiment blocked the way for the procession and started the forceful dispersal of the protest action. The police began to use special equipment, smoke bombs. Pashinyan, Mirzoyan and Mikaelyan were abducted by law enforcers from the place of assembly. Mirzoyan and Mikaelyan are in the police station of the Shengavit administrative district. Meanwhile, the location of Pashinyan is still unknown. Earlier, the wife of the oppositionist Anna Hakobyan stated that he may have been brought to the Sevan police station, but further information was refuted by Pashinyan's lawyer.
