To which I said that I can not invite Serzh Sargsyan to the Republic Square, because I can not guarantee that the situation will not come out of control. The meeting also can not take place in any government building. I said that negotiations are possible in neutral territory. I clearly stressed that the only topic of the talks is Sargsyan's removal from power, and its smooth transfer. There can be no other agenda, "the deputy said.
At the same time Pashinyan presented his approach of how this should happen. According to him, first Sargsyan should be removed from the post of Prime Minister, then the National Assembly will choose the candidate for the premieres chosen by the people here on the square, then an interim government will be formed and legislative guarantees will be created to hold early parliamentary elections.
At the same time Pashinyan asked the protesters to authorize him to conduct negotiations on behalf of the people. To which he received a positive response from the rally participants.
"Armen Sargsyan also expressed concern about possible manifestations of violence. To this I said that I officially guarantee that we exclude any violence on our part, as we pursue the policy of open hands, "Pashinyan said. In conclusion, the lawmaker accentuated that in cases of violence against the demonstrators, all the responsibility will fall on the shoulders of Armen Sargsyan, who is the guarantor of the Constitution as the President.
