ArmInfo.. Armenian President Armen Sargsyan, who came to the Republic Square to protesting participants of "Make a step, reject Serzh" movement, after a short conversation with the leader of the "Make a step" movement, MP Nikol Pashinyan left the rally.
On the question whether there will be negotiations, Sargsyan said: "Let's hope." At the same time, he did not comment on the possible use of force against the demonstrators.
From the fragments of the conversation it became clear that Pashinyan demanded from Sargsyan to provide an evidence statement on giving up the citizenship of Great Britain.
Earlier, Sargsyan invited the sides to a dialogue in order to find the best way out of the situation: "In this plan I share the concerns expressed by various public and political organizations and welcome the proposal of the ARF to create a platform of political consultations under the auspices of the President of the Republic, in order to jointly and on the principle of solidarity find solutions to existing problems. Before that, I urge members of public meetings: demonstrators and law enforcement officers, to show restraint and responsibility. I want to stress once again that the security, stability and national accord of our country should be a priority and indisputable necessity for all of us. "
