ArmInfo.Historical events are taking place in Armenia, caused by decades of social injustice and the current system of power. This is stated in the statement of the "Alternative Projects Group", which proposed a variant of the negotiating agenda in connection with the current situation in the country.
I agree with the authors of the statement, the main driving force of tens of thousands of Armenian citizens who have come to the streets are students and young people who are striving to create a new atmosphere and a new society. Today, there is unprecedented enthusiasm in the country due to the possibility, finally, of overcoming the stagnant situation. At the same time, the authors of the statement note, in this situation the emotionality is extremely high, which is fraught with the threat of a new round of tension.
"We are sure that there is an opportunity for cold, political and public decisions, and we must do everything possible to achieve this, there is still time," the statement said, proposing two principles for the peaceful resolution of the situation. - the elimination of the option of forcible seizure of power and the exclusion of the use of force against protesters. Negotiations call for the application of clear mechanisms. It is necessary to quickly start organizing literate negotiations, for which it is necessary to create a favorable environment. In this regard, the country's media should refrain from publications that offend human dignity. It is also necessary to stop the "republicanization" of political and public life. This should be done through decisions, laws and resignations.
The stage of the Republican Party "Only we, and there are no rules against us" has already been passed. The authors of the statement also propose to amend the Electoral Code, excluding the rating system of elections from it. All members of the CEC should also resign. After a certain stage in quiet conditions, it will be possible to elect a new CEC and hold early parliamentary elections. The document was signed by the members of the group - Vahe Harutyunyan, Elinar Vardanyan, Stepan Margaryan and Gegham Nazaryan.
