ArmInfo.The police continue violent dispersal of protest actions of the opposition movement against Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan and the Republican Party he leads.
"Red Berets", in particular, with truncheons, beat the cars of activists in the rally, using force and beating, detaining them, including minors. At present, according to official data, 43 are detained.
The police said that the activists' actions are illegal because they violate the natural rhythm of the life of the republic, so they announced its intention to disperse rallies and marches in all legal ways, including using physical force and special equipment. Despite this, the leader of the movement, MP Nikol Pashinyan declares non-violent methods of struggle: "Policemen are out brothers."
Protests continue throughout the republic and abroad. Serzh Sargsyan called Nikol Pashinyan to a dialogue, the latter stated that he will talk only about Sargsyan's resignation.
