ArmInfo.Ara Babloyan, Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, met with the Speaker of the House on 12 April in St. Petersburg with the representative of the National Assembly of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko.
As the press service of the parliament reports, the head of the National Assembly of Armenia positively assessed the current level of the Armenian-Belarusian political dialogue and the strong friendly ties that have formed between the two peoples. Babloyan highlighted in the Armenian-Belarusian relations the role of parliamentary diplomacy, as well as the interaction of legislative bodies in international parliamentary structures. The Speaker of the National Assembly also addressed issues of cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the EAEU and CSTO.
Andreichenko stressed that Belarus refers to the Armenian people with warm and fraternal feelings. In the development of cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, he singled out the role of the interparliamentary commission.
Stressing that Armenia and Belarus have a great potential for economic cooperation, the interlocutors in this context discussed the possibilities of developing mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of spheres.
