ArmInfo. Head of the Road Police of Armenia (DPA), Yegor Karapetyan, during the meeting with the Iranian Vice-Ambassador Ali Nasser Sobanipur presented the reforms carried out in the system.
As the press service of the RA Police told ArmInfo, at the meeting the sides stressed the importance of existing friendly relations between the two countries, which, in turn, can serve as a good basis for close cooperation between Armenian and Iranian law enforcement agencies, in particular, in the field of traffic.
The Iranian vice-ambassador noted the presence of a serious tourist flow from Iran to Armenia. According to him, last year only 220 thousand Iranian tourists visited Armenia. The parties discussed the procedure for informing drivers at the checkpoints with fixed foreign numbers about the violations of traffic rules fixed by CCTV cameras. Yegor Karapetyan informed that soon the drivers will be informed about the violations committed at the Meghri checkpoint as well.
