ArmInfo.Converse Bank will sponsor the Pan-Armenian Young Chemists Tournament, which will be held on May 5 at the initiative of the Ayb Educational Foundation. As the press service of the Bank reports, the corresponding agreement on cooperation was signed on April 6 between Converse Bank and Ayb Educational Foundation.
During the tournament, students of grades 9-12 will solve complex chemistry problems, discuss various scientific topics, and present the results of their research. This year 40 teams of students from 9-12 grades from Yerevan, different regions of Armenia, and Artsakh will take part in the tournament.
"The promotion of competitive education, consistent with international standards, has always been one of the priorities for Converse Bank, which is an excellent opportunity to promote the natural sciences, in particular, to encourage interest in chemistry," said Converse Bank Chief Executive Officer Artur Hakobyan. According to him, Converse Bank has many years of experience of cooperation with several educational institutions of Armenia and periodically makes various profitable offers for the students of these institutions, as well as contributes to the improvement of the environment and the conditions of education. "This year Converse Bank celebrates the 25th anniversary of its founding. As part of the events dedicated to this anniversary, we will present numerous projects addressed to youth aimed at encouraging innovative thinking," he said.
Shushan Karapetyan, the head of the Ayb Fund's school contests department noted: "As a result of cooperation with Converse Bank, we will be able to find bright young people who will continue their education tomorrow and will become the guarantee of development in the sphere of industry, chemistry and medicine in Armenia."
This initiative of the Ayb Educational Foundation has been held since 2010.
