ArmInfo. The main goal of the economic forum of Francophonie, on the margins of the 17th summit of the OIF in October in Yerevan, is the creation of a permanent operating network between francophone businessmen.
The press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo on March 22 in Paris at the high-level meeting on preparations for the Francophonie economic forum to be held on October 10 this year in Yerevan, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated.
According to the Armenian minister, the mission of the network will be the establishment and development of professional institutional contacts between the heads of enterprises, businessmen and unifying organizations of Francophonia, as well as stimulating favorable conditions for entrepreneurship, encouraging mutual investments aimed at economic development of the countries of Francophonia. At the same time, Nalbandian added that it is planned to create a digital platform as an example of a format for profitable exchange and positive experience. The Armenian Minister highlighted the implementation of infrastructure projects aimed at preserving sustainable development and energy, including renewable energy sources, communication and transport network, improving water management, improving the efficiency of agriculture and food production, stimulating interaction in the field of digital and high technologies, the promotion of women and youth entrepreneurship, the promotion of the profession education.
Nalbandian said that the invitation to participate in the forum was sent to the heads of regional and international economic structures, a limited number of well-known businessmen from all over the Francophone world. He also informed that the forum will be held in the resort city of Tsakhkadzor.
The meeting participants approved the initiative of Armenia to hold an economic forum and expressed their readiness to assist both in organizing and holding the event, and in creating a business network.
The meeting was attended by the Foreign Minister of Madagascar, Chairman of the Ministerial Forum of Francophonie Henri Rabari-Ndzaka, General Secretary of Francophonie Mikael Jean, head of the movement of French enterprises (MEDEF) Pierre Gataz.
On the fields of the event, Nalbandian met with a colleague from Madagascar. The parties discussed in detail the issues on the agenda of the forthcoming summit of the International Organization for Migration in Yerevan.
