According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, during the meeting the parties discussed ways to deepen and expand Armenian-Russian cooperation in the field of emergency situations, in particular, by strengthening the potential of the Armenian-Russian humanitarian response center. The parties discussed the process of technical assistance and modernization, the exchange of experience in the field of prevention and response to emergencies, etc.
Thanks to its capabilities, the Armenian-Russian Humanitarian Response Center provides an opportunity to increase resistance to human-induced and natural disasters not only in Armenia, but also at the regional level.
The sides also touched upon the plans of cooperation between the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia and the 102nd Russian military base in Armenia.
Partnership plans are intended to provide information on the origin of emergency situations of natural and man-made nature and organization of emergency recovery measures, etc.
