The Ambassador of Russia to Armenia Ivan Volynkin addressed the participants of the conference with a welcoming message. The greeting of the ambassador, read by the adviser-envoy of the Russian diplomatic mission, Andrei Ivanov, says: "The preservation of traditional values and morality is directly connected with the prospect of global development." On the part of individual organizations and even states, attempts are being made to destroy such fundamental institutions as the institution of marriage, family , imposing false values on society.As a result, the people lose their orientation and traditions, turning into a group of people.

The importance of the discussed topics in his welcome message to the participants of the conference was stressed by the head of the Committee on International Affairs of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Konstantin Kosachev. In his message, the parliamentarian, in particular, noted that the Armenian and Russian peoples should jointly fight against imposing alien values on the societies of the two countries, shaking the foundations of statehood.
The participants of the conference were also greeted by the message of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, who also stressed the importance of preserving the national foundations in the globalizing world.
And the Secretary General of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia, Andrei Belyaninov, in his message, in particular, noted that in order to confront external globalization challenges, it is necessary to activate people's diplomacy and cultural interaction in the Eurasian space. The head of the social office of the Holy Echmiadzin St.Marcos Mangasaryan in his speech stressed the important role of the media in preserving the national customs and traditions and confronting the challenges of globalization.
The rector of the Compound of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia in Gyumri, Archimandrite Andrey, in his turn expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the globalizing world imposes on the societies of the two countries the principles of tolerance. "What is tolerance? This is the lack of resistance to external challenges, it's like opening the state's borders to the enemy," the archimandrite assured. As a result of the conference, a resolution will be developed addressing the peoples, churches and authorities of the two countries, with recommendations for the preservation of traditional values and the intensification of humanitarian cooperation between countries. Within the framework of the conference a special exhibition of ancient manuscripts and printed materials "The Church - the storehouse of the family and the memory store", organized by the National Archives of the Republic of Armenia.
