ArmInfo. State Minister of Artsakh Republic Araik Harutyunyan, who is on a working visit to Australia, met with representatives of the Senate of Australia on March 21.
As the press service of the Government of the Republic of Artsakh reports, Araik Harutyunyan expressed gratitude for the recognition of the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh at a meeting with a member of the Green Party of Australia.
At the request of the senators, the state minister presented details on the democratic processes in the Republic, and also talked about efforts aimed at resolving the Karabakh conflict. According to Harutyunyan, to this day the issue remains unresolved due to the destructive policy of Baku. The Azeri authorities, at the current stage, not only hamper the restoration of the real format of the negotiation process, but also periodically carry out provocative actions on the contact line, endangering the security of the people of the Artsakh Republic.
