ArmInfo.Tsarukyan block has not yet determined its position on the possible nomination of Serzh Sargsyan as prime minister of Armenia after the expiration of his presidential term. This was stated by the deputy from the bloc, Louise Sargsyan, in interviews with journalists.
Vardan Bostanjyan, deputy from the bloc, head of the commission for science, education, culture and youth affairs, told ArmInfo correspondent that it does not matter who will be the prime minister of Armenia, the main thing is that he can ensure peace, economic growth, and also the development of the country. "It is very important for the future head of state to also ensure peace in Nagorno-Karabakh and promote a peaceful solution of the Artsakh issue, no matter who will be at the helm of power, it is important what exactly he did for the development of our country," Bostanjyan concluded. It should be noted that on the eve of the interview Serzh Sargsyan did not exclude the possibility of his nomination for the post of prime minister after the expiration of presidential powers, despite the fact that in 2014 he stated that he would not claim this post.
At the same time, Sargsyan noted that if he will run for the post of prime minister, then with one reservation: "In parallel with full realization of constitutional powers, I will spend much more time devoting myself to transferring all the obvious and hidden experience of the past years of governing the country to young political leaders. is extremely important today, and we all have to work on the issue of forming new political leaders, regardless of their party affiliation, regardless of the current political positioning, " UNT.
