ArmInfo. The newly appointed Korean ambassador, Yong Kun (residence - Moscow), presented his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. ArmInfo was informed about this in the press service of the Armenian leader.
The Armenian leader expressed hope that the Ambassador will give new impetus to the Armenian-Korean relations with his active work. Sargsyan assured that all state structures of Armenia are ready to assist the Ambassador in this direction.
The Armenian President also congratulated Korea on the successful holding of the 23rd Winter Olympic Games. Noting that last year Armenia and Korea celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, Sargsyan expressed the conviction that the achievements achieved over these years still do not fully reflect the potential for cooperation between the two countries. From the point of view of development of cooperation in various fields, the Armenian leader stressed the importance of active mutual visits at a high level, strengthening of inter-parliamentary contacts, deepening of interaction within the framework of international structures.
The Korean ambassador assured that he would not want efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador also expressed his gratitude to Armenia for the abolition of entry visas for the citizens of Korea. According to him, this step will also stimulate contacts between Armenia and Korea.
