As the press secretary of the Russian Embassy in Armenia Veronika Artenyan told ArmInfo, 10,419 people took part in the elections in the territory of Armenia. "According to the results of the vote count, Vladimir Putin took the leading positions in all the polling stations," Artenyan said.
According to preliminary ballots in Yerevan, more than 90% of voters voted for Vladimir Putin. About 5,000 citizens took part in the elections in Yerevan. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkni called an unprecedented turnout at the elections.
It is noteworthy that on March 4, 2012, 2,960 people took part in the presidential elections in Yerevan. Then 83.4% of voters voted for the candidate from United Russia, the acting prime minister of Russia Vladimir Putin. According to preliminary data of the CEC of Russia, the incumbent President Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections on March 18 gained more than 76.6% of the vote. Putin secured a record in his career political support for voters - more than 56 million citizens voted for him.
