ArmInfo.The implementation of the Armenia-EU comprehensive and expanded partnership agreement will begin after its ratification. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Karen Nazaryan told journalists in Yerevan on March 15.
"After the ratification of the agreement, it will be possible to apply most of the provisions of the document." The agreement contains such a point, which provides for consideration of the issue first in the Constitutional Court, and then - by the National Assembly, "Nazaryan said. Speaking about the possible timing of the beginning of the process, the Armenian diplomat said that tentatively it is about April 1.
Touching upon the 14th meeting of the Eastern Partnership held in Yerevan on the topic "Public Administration Reforms", the Deputy Minister reminded that the reform of the sphere is reflected in the documents signed between Armenia and the EU, one of which is the agreement on partnership priorities, which is based on a previously signed agreement on comprehensive and expanded partnership.
"We are talking about the implementation of the relevant reforms, the road map." As is known, the entire volume of reforms is included in the corresponding strategy of the Armenian government for 2017-2020. The meeting is held within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, on an appropriate platform. countries of the Eastern Partnership and try to understand which country, at what level is today, according to the road map, "Nazaryan concluded.
Recall that Armenia and the EU on November 24, 2017 in Brussels at the Eastern Partnership Summit signed an agreement with the EU on a comprehensive and expanded partnership. The document will start functioning after its ratification by all EU member states. Estonia has already ratified the document. After ratification of the document by Armenia, it will be possible to apply a number of provisions of the agreement until it is fully ratified.
