ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan met with representatives of the local Armenian community during his official visit to Lebanon on March 13. "I want to briefly brief you on what we said during our visit, what we came to and how we represent our tomorrow," Karapetyan said in his speech.
According to the Prime Minister, the government delegation arrived in Lebanon "with an open heart and a substantive agenda." Having noted once again that relations between the two countries have remained at a high level since the proclamation of Armenia's independence, at the same time, as the head of the Armenian government emphasized, it was noted that the economic component of bilateral relations is far from the potential that there are Armenia and Lebanon. At the same time, the prime minister noted the importance of the role of the Armenian community of Lebanon in bilateral relations.
According to Karapetyan, the Armenian side has presented programs, with the help of which it is possible to attract representatives of the business community to Armenia. According to the Prime Minister, Armenia began reforms in virtually all spheres - the management system, tax, customs, anti-corruption, education, healthcare, information technologies, agriculture, the judiciary, etc. "Thanks to Armenia's foreign policy, we were able to create a very interesting platform where We managed to combine, perhaps, incompatible - Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the signing of an Agreement on comprehensive and expanded partnership with the EU, friendly relations with Iran, with Sha, Canada, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, in the presence of them preferential trade regimes " Karen Karapetyan noted. All this, according to the head of government, allows, when founding an enterprise in Armenia, to enter larger markets.
As a result of the reforms being carried out in the republic, as Karen Karapetyan noted, Armenia has reached significant heights in the economy. "Last year, we had an economic growth of 7.5%, I note that the indicator is the highest region - almost twice, the highest in the Eurasian Union in comparison with the CIS countries, while in the world average economic growth is estimated at 3-3.1%, "the prime minister said, adding that during the reporting period, Armenian exports grew by 25.2%, industrial products by 12.6%, imports, and external trade.
At the same time, as the head of government noted, these indicators are not enough for the tasks facing the country to find an instant solution. "The economic policy pursued by our government today shows that we are on the right track, and we are sure that in the next 3-4 years we will have stable economic growth, and the reforms that I partially submitted will be continued," he said.
"We, the Armenians, have a unique opportunity to provide a spasmodic growth," Karen Karapetyan said. In order to ensure a stable and long-term growth of the RA, as the prime minister indicated, long-term reforms are needed. "I am more than sure that we have a great potential in the person of you - our compatriots," he said.
At the end of his speech, assuring that Armenia would become a logically developing and fair country, the head of government called upon each of those present to contribute to the construction of such a country. "Be sure to pay attention to Armenia, create a corner for yourself, a pier, something that will give you confidence." We will be very happy to see you all in Armenia, "Karen Karapetyan said, noting his inner confidence and determination that Step by step the government will move towards building the best country in the world for Armenians.
