ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Swedish State Secretary Ulrika Modeer took part in the round table "Sustainable Development Goals and Implementation of the Agenda 2030: The Experience of Armenia" in Stockholm. As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo, the event was organized by the Swedish government jointly with the UN.
Nalbandian noted during the welcoming speech that Armenia has gained some experience in promoting the goals of sustainable development, and such events are a good opportunity to present to their partners, as well as to study the work of other countries in this direction. "We are pleased that Sweden appreciates the success achieved by Armenia in this area," the Armenian minister said, and in this context added that the process of nationalization of the goals of sustainable development in Armenia has already been completed and is compared with the general reforms "National Development Strategy 2030" .
At the same time, he stressed that the National Innovation Center for Sustainable Development makes a significant contribution to this process - a joint initiative of the Armenian government and the UNDP Yerevan office.
Nalbandian noted with satisfaction that Armenia is among 47 countries who will present their first voluntary national monitoring at a high-level political forum under the auspices of the UN Economic and Social Council.
