"We highly appreciate the discussions that took place today in the Parliament of the friendly Netherlands, as well as the decisions adopted in them, which unequivocally confirm the recognition of the Armenian Genocide as early as 2004. By this step, the Netherlands Parliament reaffirmed its commitment to universal values, as well as the noble cause of prevention genocide and crimes against humanity, "Nalbandian said in a statement.
The Parliament of the Netherlands, on the eve officially recognized the Armenian Genocide of 1915 in the Ottoman Empire. In the Parliament of the Netherlands, two resolutions were submitted. For the recognition of the Genocide, 147 MPs of the Dutch parliament voted, against - only a few members of the Turkish nationality. Both resolutions were presented in the country's parliament by a deputy from the Christian Union, Joel Fordewind.
