ArmInfo. The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia David Tonoyan held a working meeting with the Minister for Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Vladimir Puchkov on February 16 in Sochi within the framework of the 17th Russian Investment Forum.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, at the meeting the parties discussed the possibilities for deepening the Armenian-Russian cooperation in the field of emergency situations, as well as building the capacity of the Armenian-Russian humanitarian response center.
In particular, the parties discussed technical assistance and modernization, exchange of experience in the field of prevention and response to emergencies and training of personnel.
The Minister for Emergency Situations of Armenia stressed the importance of cooperation between the two departments, as well as joint actions and necessary measures in case of natural disasters. Minister Tonoyan invited Puchkov to take part in the "Sustainable Armenia" events dedicated to the anniversary of the Spitak earthquake, which will take place on December 5-7, 2018.
Russia's Emergency Situations Minister invited Tonoyanu to take part in an event called "Integrated Security - 2018", during which technical innovations for rescue operations will be presented to the public.
