The Commission arrived in Armenia to provide professional opinion on the draft law of the Republic of Armenia "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations." Welcoming the guests, Hovhannisyan positively assessed the constant effective cooperation with the VC. She presented details of a number of provisions of the draft law, noting that the authors took into account international standards and many recommendations of the VC. The NA Vice Speaker stressed the role of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the public life of the country and noted that the mood of the society regarding this law is very sensitive. The rights and duties defined by the law on freedom of conscience and religion, as well as the provisions of the draft law, which are subject to revision and revision, are affected.
