ArmInfo. There are enough stupid experts both in Russia and Armenia, Alexander Skakov, Researcher of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, political expert expressed such an opinion to ArmInfo.
" I can say that if the representatives of such kind of political circles estimates November agreement of Armenia-EU as "as "betrayal" or even hostile actions against Russia, then it is incorrect to take it as an official position of the Russian Federation or a common point of view of our expert community. Such "experts", making profound conclusions, are also in Armenia, but I personally do not think that they express a common opinion, "the political expert said.
In this light, Skakov considers the conclusions according to which anti-Armenian sentiments formed in Russia as a result of the activity of such "experts", groundless. According to him, the document signed by Armenia and the European Union is not a problem of the Armenian-Russian relations, as it seems to a number of Armenian experts.
Noting that Yerevan made its choice in favor of the EAEU under the pressure of the EU policy "or- or", Skakov believes that this pressure led to a revision of Brussels' policy in favor of "and-and." Such a development of events, he estimates, satisfies Moscow, since this agreement is quite capable of becoming a kind of bridge between the Russian Federation and the West. On November 24, Armenia signed the Agreement on Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership with the EU on the margins of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels.
Signatures under the agreement in the presence of RA President Serzh Sargsyan and the chairman of the European Council Donald Tusk were put by the RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and the head of European diplomacy Federica Mogherini.
