ArmInfo. The large reserve of strength of the military-political system of the Islamic Republic of Iran makes the change of power in this country by street protests practically impossible. Such an opinion was expressed by Gagik Harutyunyan, the director of Noravank scientific and educational foundation.
Since December 28, the largest cities of Iran are covered by protest
actions against the social and economic policy of the government.
According to media reports, 21 people became victims of the unrest,
about 3,700 people including former Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad were detained.
Tehran has already announced the suppression of protests.
"Of course, in Iran there was an attempt to implement another "color
revolution. "Similarly, there are significant problems in Iran with
the implementation of social and political rights of citizens, but
against the backdrop of the disastrous completion of all attempts to
introduce liberal ideas in the Greater Middle East, go to second
place, "the analyst believes.
Nevertheless, according to Harutyunyan, the Iranian authorities
succeeded in quickly extinguishing a flaring fire precisely because
of the notorious margin of strength of the country's
military-political system. And most of the detainees, according to
his estimates, have already been released into freedom in exchange
for certain guarantees.
"I can not but note that in Tehran the influence of Kurdish autonomy
is considered one of the catalysts of protest actions, and in my
opinion, this factor will become more and more important in 2018. And
the same Turkey decided to build a wall on the border with Iran there
, where Kurds live, trying to separate them, thus, attempts to
restore Middle East chaos, including through the Kurdish factor, are
evident, "the director of the Noravank Foundation summed up.
