"I think during upcoming two months the correspondent steps will be undertaken. Until it's not about installing a modular wall, but only about electronic security system", the Minister said during visiting regions of construction of "security wall" with 3 meters height and length of 144 kilometers at the border with Iran, Anadolu reports.
At the same time, he stated that half of the works on the construction of a modular wall on the border of Turkey with Iran have been completed. According to Soylu, a modular wall along the border of the Turkish provinces of Agra and Igdir was necessary both in terms of combating terrorism, and in the context of preventing smuggling and illegal migration. "Over the past 8 months, 50 percent of the wall has been built, 70 percent of the concrete blocks have been built, which are expected to be installed during construction," the minister said.
