He added that the signing of the agreement is a historic event and a new beginning, which will further strengthen Armenia-EU relations. At the same time, he noted that he was optimistic about the future of bilateral relations. "We are convinced that we can have stable and long-term relations." Speaking about the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and the wording in the document, he recalled that discussions about this issue began quite a long time and a mutually acceptable variant was achieved. At the same time, Wailer, referring to the simplification of the visa regime with the EU, expressed the belief that, at the proper time, the visa regime will be simplified and that citizens of Armenia will be able to move freely in the EU space. According to him, for this it is necessary to have patience and fulfill all the necessary requirements on this issue, then the visa regime will be liberalized.
Touching on economic cooperation, Weiler stated that Armenia still has a lot to do to improve the investment climate in the country, which in turn will attract foreign investors and give new impetus to the economic development of the republics.
