ArmInfo. Proposals on a possible expansion of the format of the OSCE Minsk Group on Karabakh can be used as spoilers. On November 20 in Baku at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani colleague Elmar Mammadyarov said the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"There is an agreed format - three co-chairmen, they do not just exist in a vacuum, they preside jointly in the OSCE Minsk Group, where all are least interested and can influence this process," Lavrov said, RIA Novosti reported.
At that, Russian Minister added that he had not heard any talk about the need to expand this format somehow. "It seems to me that in such a situation, as in many other conflict situations, proposals for something new can be consciously or unintentionally used as spoilers of what is already done in an established format that has proved acceptable for both sides," Lavrov said.
