ArmInfo. The decision of the Constitutional Court of Armenia does not imply the immediate dissolution of the Council of Elders of Vanadzor, Gevorg Danielyan, adviser to the Constitutional Court stated during the conversation with ArmInfo reporter.
According to him, until now the meetings of the Council of Elders of Vanadzor were considered lawful in accordance with the 64th article of the RA Law "On Local Self-Government". Danielyan said that according to the 64th article of the RA law "On Local Self-Government," the council of the Vanadzor Elders is considered legitimate, if at least 9 members of the council are present at the meetings ( so many votes are needed to make a decision). Thus, from March 1, 2017, the Vanadzor Council of Elders held meetings of 15 people, that is, more than the law required.
