ArmInfo. Milli Mejlis deputy Elman Nasirov sharply criticized the recent actions of Turkey, which, in his words, are directed against Baku and can damage bilateral relations of the countries.
In particular, the deputy did not like the fact that Ankara has not yet reacted to Baku's demand for the surrender of four of its citizens who visited Nagorno-Karabakh. "Against the backdrop of such silence, the activity of these people is further increasing, which, of course, causes serious dissatisfaction in the Azerbaijani society." In any case, this visit is a serious crime and it should not go unpunished, "the Azerbaijani deputy is convinced.
He also did not like the fact that some members of the Turkish delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe voted "for" anti-Azerbaijani resolutions. "Recently, in the PACE, some deputies, being" instruments in the hands of the Armenian diaspora "," the Armenian lobby, "voted for two" anti- Azerbaijani "resolutions. We have long been accustomed to such injustice and we know perfectly well where and how these processes are fed, who governs them We were struck by the fact that there were three Turkish parliamentarians among these pro-Armenian deputies, including a well-known politician such as Deniz Baikal (former leader of the largest opposition opposition People's Republican Party in Turkey). They said that there might have been some technical error, or there were problems in technical procedures, but with a comprehensive study of this issue it turned out that there were no technical problems, and three PACE deputies from Turkey actually voted for prejudged anti-Azerbaijani documents, "- Nasirov was indignant. At the same time, he found it difficult to name possible reasons for such a step on the part of the Turkish parliamentarians. The deputy recalled that in the most difficult times for Turkey, the Azerbaijani state, the people were close to the fraternal country, supported in everything. In his opinion, the Turkish public should make categorical condemnation, express strong opposition to such actions in order to prevent similar steps in the future. "We expect that the leadership of the Turkish state will take all the necessary measures with regard to actions that can cast a shadow on the friendship and brotherhood of our countries, and we hope so," Nasirov said.
Recall that in the second decade of September, representatives of the Turkish intelligentsia - a member of the political party "Green and Left Future", the chairman of the public organization "Ankara's Platform of Thinking" Ufuk Uraz, writer and public figure Said Chekinoglu, some Ali Bayramoglu, writer and presenter Erol Katyrchyoglu visited Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. This visit caused a painful reaction in Azerbaijan. The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan initiated a criminal case against the above- mentioned persons and conducts an inspection, moreover, they are declared on the international wanted list by the Interpol line. It is known that Turkey does not extradite its citizens to foreign countries at the request of Interpol. However, the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan stated that Ankara will fulfill the legal requirements of the Azerbaijani legislation.
