ArmInfo. The meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders held the day before proved once again that the format of the OSCE Minsk Group is the only legitimate one in the Karabakh settlement, and Baku's attempts to postpone the talks to other sites were not crowned with success. This was reported on the Facebook page by the head of the Armenian Foreign Affairs Committee Armen Ashotyan.
According to him, the current diplomatic process reduces the risks of resumption of wide-scale military actions, which Baku strives for. He also noted with satisfaction that the meeting once again highlighted the importance of implementing mechanisms of confidence and reducing tensions in the conflict zone. "It is noted that the parties and mediators will continue to work in this direction, therefore, the Vienna and St. Petersburg agreements remain on the agenda of the talks (against them, the editor of Azerbaijan)," Ashotyan said.
He also drew attention to the statement of President Serzh Sargsyan right after the talks that for Armenia the issues of the status and security of Artsakh are dominant and have axiomatic character for the negotiation process.
