ArmInfo.Belarus and Azerbaijan have many areas of cooperation, the countries have the warmest and closest relations. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the Chairman of Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan Oktay Asadov.

"We absolutely trust each other, we create joint ventures and trade  with third countries, we are moving along with you further to the  south, to the east, and we will adhere to this policy in the  economy." Trade is growing, military-technical cooperation we do not  conceal from anyone," Lukashenko said, the press service of the  Belarusian president reports.  The head of state mentioned that  during his participation in the CIS summit in Sochi he had an  exchange of views with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in  various formats and they spent quite a long time discussing many  issues of relations. "You will be surprised: together with the  President of Armenia - the three of us, often making fun of each  other, but in politics it is generally accepted, with a hint of  solving certain problems." I know that you are a peace-loving people  and, despite the problems in Karabakh , you have an absolutely  peaceful position in this respect, therefore, as I said to the  Minister of Defense (Zakir Hasanov-Ed.), we have nothing to justify  ourselves in this or that state," the Belarusian leader said.

He noted that the parties are building their relations in accordance  with the wishes of the peoples of Belarus and Azerbaijan, for the  sake of their welfare. "We will follow the course that we have  defined, and I am convinced that our parliamentarians will find their  place in the implementation of this road map," concluded Lukashenko.
