ArmInfo. The level of training of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force forces of the CSTO is quite high. This was announced on October 12 in Yerevan by the head  of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov.

"In Armenia, the CSTO CRRF exercises are being conducted for the  second time, involving about 2.5 thousand troops, about 500 military  equipment and 25 aircraft, with military contingents from all six  member countries of the Organization participating in the exercise. a  high enough level, all countries of the Organization have  ultra-modern weapons, "said Colonel-General and in this context noted  that the most difficult issue of exercises is the issue of organizing  the command and control of CRRF forces. According to him, for the  first time the scheme of the management system of the Collective  Forces began to work quite effectively.

He also noted that during the exercise there are shortcomings, but  they are usually not talked about, although all information is  collected and reported to the leadership with a view to further  enhancing the coherence of the troops and their effective  interaction. Sidorov also said that the exercises involved  representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, they  are also watched by the military attache attache accredited in  Armenia.

Speaking about the exercises in general, the Russian general noted  that during the exercises "Search-2017" and "Interaction -2017" the  skills of repelling an attempt to penetrate illegal armed formations  into the territory of one of the CSTO member states are being  developed. "Within the framework of the exercises, we observe the  gradual development of the conflict, taking into account political,  economic, diplomatic developments.Thus, the conflict gradually  develops, the conditional enemy tries to penetrate into the territory  of the union state and naturally all forces of the CSTO CRRF are  involved in defense of its sovereignty and integrity. the purpose of  these forces is to defend the sovereignty of the union state, and, of  course, to completely defeat the enemy, the troops from the defense  phase go over to the offensive and cause a devastating defeat against  nickname, "- Sidorov said .

Answering the question whether any troops or weapons will remain in  the territory of Armenia after the completion of the exercises,  Colonel-General emphasized that all the countries of the organization  arrived to Armenia with their own forces and with their equipment,  and after the completion of the exercises, they will leave Armenia -  nor who and nothing remains. "As for the Armenian-Russian combined  forces, they were here, and will remain after the exercises," the  high-ranking Russian military official said.  Sidorov also stressed  that the Organization did not consider the issue of the participation  of CSTO peacekeeping forces in operations in the East of Ukraine
