ArmInfo.On October 8, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh (the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh) Masis Mayilyan received members of the legislative body of the American state of California.
Welcoming the visit of the California parliamentarians to Artsakh, the Foreign Minister stressed the importance of adopting a joint resolution of the Assembly and the Senate of California in support of the independence of Artsakh and expressed confidence that the international recognition of the independence of the NKR will become an important contribution to the strengthening of peace and security in the region.
Masis Mayilyan noted that in recent years a good basis for the development of relations between Artsakh and California in various fields has been created, and it is time to give practicality to the interaction. In this context, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation.Touching on the current situation in the process of peaceful settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict, Artsakh Foreign Minister noted the need to create appropriate conditions for the promotion of the peace process and ensuring its irreversibility.

The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs issued a statement on the completion of their visit to the region, in which they stressed in particular that their mission was to summarize the results of the organization of the meeting between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, and discuss possible issues of the meeting.
