Amendments to the law "On Television and Radio" were introduced by the National Assembly of Armenia at a meeting on September 14.As the Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies Boris Demirkhanyan noted in his speech, the government proposed to settle three groups of issues in order to achieve the set task.
The first concerns the facilitated variant of submission of competitive documents. In the current law, the deadline for submission of documents was 3 months, now it is proposed to extend it to 6 months. In addition, the terms of study of competitive documents will be shortened. In accordance with the current version of the law, they are 6 months, now they are proposed to be reduced to 3 months, which will enable more rapid response in order to optimally organize work with the bidding documents.
The second group of issues directly concerns cases in which the competition is recognized as not held. We are talking about applications that either do not meet the requirements of the law, or do not meet technical specifications, or in the absence of a stage of public discussion. In addition, one of the conditions for participation in the tender is the provision under which the applicant undertakes to cover the required frequency of broadcasting.
