ArmInfo.On September 11 Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with the Vice-Premier, the head of Georgian MFA Mikheil Janelidze, who came to Armenia with a working visit.
According to Armenian MFA press service, both ministers expressed satisfaction with the fact that relations between two neighboring and friendly countries have been developing in recent years. In the same context, they highlighted the contribution of foreign policy departments in the implementation of the agreements reached between the leaders of Armenia and Georgia.
Nalbandian and Janelidze discussed wide range of issues which are of particular importance for both countries. The interlocutors also touched upon the issues of cooperation within the framework of international structures, inter-parliamentary relations, trade and economic relations, transport infrastructure, cooperation in the field of energy, culture, tourism and other areas. It was also noted the importance of further expansion of the Armenian-Georgian agreements in the legal sphere.
During the meeting, the parties referred to the steps undertaken in the direction of solving active issues of Georgian-Armenian agenda.
Armenian and Georgian Foreign Ministers exchanged opinions on a number of regional and international issues.
Edward Nalbandian presented to Mikheli Janelidze joint efforts of Armenia and OSCE Minsk Group co- chairs to develop process on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.
