ArmInfo. On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the proclamation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic on August 31, a solemn ceremony of awarding took place at the presidential residence.
As reported by the NKR leader's press service, the highest title of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic "Hero of Artsakh" and the "Golden Eagle" award was awarded to Arthur Aghabekyan. High awards were awarded to the servicemen of the Defense Army, soldiers-liberators, a group of state and public figures, diplomats, philanthropists, representatives of the spheres of economy, education and culture from Artsakh, Armenia and from abroad.
For a significant contribution to the development of art and journalism, a group of persons was awarded the honorary titles of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. Congratulating those present, President Sahakyan noted that the state has always highly valued people who have achieved significant results in their service and activities for the benefit of their homeland.
The event was attended by the head of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Artsakh Republic Ashot Ghulyan, Prime Minister Araik Harutyunyan, and other officials.
