ArmInfo.Ministry of Armenia suburbs banned hunting in the vicinity of the reserve "Khosrov Forest".
The decision was made taking into account the fact that due to large-scale fire in the reserve, some birds and animals were forced to move to a safer area nearby. In a statement Nature Protection Ministry, in particular, it calls on the citizens of the republic not to hurt the animals that moved to a safer territory. Hunting is also prohibited in the north-eastern areas of the Ararat region, within the administrative boundaries Landzhazat, Nor Dvin, Verin Dvin, Norashen, Kaghtsrashen and Urtsadzor, in some areas of Vayots Dzor, in Zangezur mountains - Saravan, Hartavan, Gomk, Martiros, Sers, Bartsruni , Etc. Since August 26, the season of amateur hunting has started in Armenia.
The fire in Khosrov reserve, which was localized only after 6 days, by the official figures, burned 360 hectares of forest. According to the same independent experts, as a result of the fire more than 2.5 thousand hectares of forest burned. As a result of the fire, many of the reserve's animals were forced to move to nearby areas.
