This was announced yesterday by the head of general and thoracic surgery clinic of Erebuni Medical Center, Professor Artak Hovhannisyan, who returned from Egypt during a meeting with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Levon Altunyan.
According to him, according to the press service of Ministry of Health, the condition of a 46-year-old Armenian citizen who was injured as a result of an attack by an armed man on a hotel in Hurghada is rated as consistently difficult. According to him, after three operations, the condition of a woman has improved. As a result of the received wounds, the liver, the diaphragm, the vessels, the pleural cavities, the hematomas were formed. The Armenian surgeon held three consultations with his Egyptian counterparts, an additional survey will be conducted. "The patient has breathing problems, since fluid has accumulated in the pleural cavities, and a hematoma has formed in the left pleural cavity because of severe bleeding. In the drainage tube installed under the liver, 450-500 milliliters of bile accumulated per day," the professor noted, that from the intensive care unit the woman was transferred to a hospital ward. According to the doctor, the transportation of the wounded to Armenia will be discussed after it becomes better.
