ArmInfo. The final decision on the Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting is not yet available. Shavarsh Kocharyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, stated this in a conversation  with journalists after the government meeting on July 27.

Shavarsh Kocharyan noted that the proposal to hold a meeting at the  level of the presidents came from the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk  Group. In this direction, the work of the foreign minister of Armenia  and Azerbaijan, but so far the parties have not come to a common  denominator, he said.  Touching upon Azerbaijan's refusal to  investigate the incidents on the border with Armenia and the line of  contact with the NKR, Kocharian noted: "We are dealing with a state  that acts by the principle - who is shouting" hold the thief "louder.  And only the "thief" is advantageous, so that the mechanisms of  investigation are not introduced.

It should be noted that on July 11 the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs  issued a joint statement following the meeting with the Armenian and  Azeri FMs, in which they noted that an agreement has been reached to  hold the next meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries  in New York in September in the fields of the UN General Assembly. It  was also noted that efforts are being made to organize a summit at  the end of this year. In this connection, Armenian President Serzh  Sargsyan noted that such a meeting could be held in September this  year. At the same time, he added that Yerevan does not have special  expectations from such a meeting.
