The young artist, Mikael Gevorgyan (Misha), will represent Armenia at the international contest of Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2017, who last year won second place for participation in Children's New Wave 2016 contest . Misha is a member of "Voice of Artsakh" group, who captured the hearts of the audience with his song Little Karabakh.
Candidacy of nine-year-old Misha was approved by the creative group of Public Television of Armenia. Song and clip, released for the contest, will be released only in early autumn.
Misha is currently studying at the Griboyedov Junior School. For the first time on stage he turned up at the age of four, becoming a participant in the event dedicated to the 21st anniversary of the independence of Nagorno Karabakh. Already during this period he met his future producer Lira Kocharyan, who founded Voice of Artsakh and became its artistic director. Musical skills of nine-year-old Misha were improved in the course of teamwork with the group, where he gained experience, communicating with professional singers, performing at various stages and at events in Belgium, Switzerland, Georgia, Russia and France. During the ceremony of rewarding Aurora Misha performed along with his favorite artists, performing a lullaby "Come my nightingale".
This year, Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held for the fifteenth time under the slogan Shine Bright in Tbilisi on November 26th. Besides Armenia, eleven countries that have already participated in the competition are already known: Albania, Belarus, Ireland, Italy, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia and of course Georgia itself. In the musical competition "Junior Eurovision", Armenia has been participating since 2007. The victory of Vladimir Arzumanyan in 2010 enabled Armenia to host the 2011 competition.
