Supporters intend to hold a march in support of the imprisoned members of the Sasna Tsrer group. However, there is no specific information about the route of the march yet.
To recall, an armed group of supporters of the oppositionist, the hero of the Karabakh war Zhirayr Sefilyan "Sasna Tsrer", on July 17, 2016, seized the building of the patrol and guard service of the RA Police in the capital district of Erebuni. The armed group of 30 people demanded the resignation of President Serzh Sargsyan and the release of Zhirayr Sefilyan, who was arrested for setting up an organized group to seize strategic buildings, as well as for illegal possession of weapons. During the capture of the PPS regiment and subsequent events, 46 people were injured, of which 26 were police officers. Three policemen - Colonel Artur Vanoyan and ensigns Gagik Mkrtchyan and Yuri Tepanosyan - were killed, ten at various times were held by the group, and seven - gunshot wounds of varying severity. Among the hostages were the deputy head of the Armenian police Vardan Yeghiazaryan and the deputy head of the Yerevan police department Valery Osipyan. Seven of the affected civilians are paramedics. The group members laid down their arms on July 31. At the moment, the investigation has been completed for 32 accused. They are charged with a number of articles of the Criminal Code: "murder," "illegal acquisition and carrying of weapons," "seizure and complicity in the seizure of hostages, as well as buildings, structures and vehicles," "deliberate destruction of property," theft with illegal entry into storage or room".
