The proposal was voiced during the meeting of the Armenian Minister of Health Levon Altunyan with the delegation of the Red Crescent of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by the chairman of the society Seyed Amri Mohsen Zia and the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seed Kazem Sadjadi.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Health, the representatives of the Iranian delegation noted that the humanitarian movement of the Red Crescent operating for 95 years, uniting 9,000 staff and 2 million volunteers (volunteers), in addition to responding to natural disasters and catastrophes, in many countries Has clinics, dispensaries and hemodialysis centers. "Our medical facilities, equipped with all necessary equipment and medicines, provide free medical services to socially disadvantaged groups of the population," the company chairman said, adding that they are ready to implement a similar program in Armenia.
Highly appreciating the humanitarian mission of the "Red Crescent", as well as progress in the IRI health system, Levon Altunyan expressed his readiness to expand cooperation in the field of health. The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of medicinal products production.
