ArmInfo. The next hearing on the case of 18 members of the Sasna Tsrer group, chaired by Judge Artush Gabrielyan, is scheduled for July 13 at 11:00 local time in the court of general jurisdiction of the Yerevan districts of Avan and Nor Nork.
In the course of today's meeting, Judge Gabrielian applied sanctions against all 18 defendants and removed them from the courtroom for manifestations of non-respect for the court. The defendants refused to stand at the beginning of the meeting. The judge also applied sanctions against the two lawyers of the defendants Yervand Varosyan and Lusine Sahakyan and said that he would apply to the Chamber of Advocates on their issue. In the morning, at the beginning of the meeting, the lawyer Martiros Hakobyan and Araik Hakobyan Lusine Sahakyan submitted a petition for self-withdrawal, explaining that the judge had committed a grave violation of the rights of the defendants. Sahakyan expressed perplexity that the defendant's letter was taken to the lawyer, moreover, he was read and published. Lawyers Yervand Varosyan, Grisha Balasanyan also joined the parliament. However, the judge rejected the petition for self- withdrawal. Note that in early June, a court session began in the case of 18 members of the Sasna Tsrer group, which examines the court of the administrative districts of Erebuni and Nubarashen, but it is held in the building of the Avan and Nor Nork courts, as it is larger in size. The court session is held with many violations. Recall that on July 17, 2016 the group "Sasna Tsrer" seized the building of the Regiment of the PPS of the Armenian Police in the capital district of Erebuni. The group demanded the resignation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and the participant of the Karabakh war Zhirayr Sefelyan, who was arrested in the spring of the same year for illegal possession of weapons. The group surrendered and was arrested on July 31.
