ArmInfo. "I said before the constitutional reform and after that parliamentary form of government is not suitable for Armenia," said Hovhannes Igityan, member of the board of the Armenian National Movement (ANM), former chairman of the parliamentary commission on foreign relations.
"It is unacceptable for Armenia to have weak political institutions and Parliament as well", he said. The government solves all the important questions. "parliament must raise questions which disturb the society while the parliamentarians now are busy only with solving of their own problems, therefore, the power is becoming separate from the people, what should not be ever", the expert said. Touching upon the situation after the end of term of office of President Serzh Sargsyan in 2018, the expert said that nobody knows what will happen even the Republicans.
Speaking about the "anti-corruption fight" proclaimed by the authorities, the expert noted that all those with whom a fight should be waged within the framework of the anti-corruption program are now in power. "Therefore, in order for the struggle to be effective and something changed, these people must first of all change themselves," the expert concluded.
