ArmInfo.In Yerevan took place consultations between Armenian and Moldavian deputy foreign ministers. Armenian delegation will lead Deputy MFA Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Qocharyan, and Moldavian delegation will lead Deputy MFA and European Integration Minister of Moldova Lilian Darie.
In a traditionally friendly atmosphere, a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda was discussed, related to interstate cooperation, implementation of the potential of the Armenian-Moldavian economy cooperation and strengthening humanitarian ties. Special attention was paid to the consideration of issues of mutual interest on the international and regional agenda. The main topic of the consultations was the discussion of the implementation of the agreements reached by the foreign ministers of Armenia and Moldova during the visit of the Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Andrei Galbour to Yerevan last November.
In accordance to the agenda, the heads of delegations were also presented the results of the meeting held at the level of legal services leadership of the two countries foreign affairs departments, during which the issues of further development of the legal basis for the Armenian-Moldavian cooperation were considered.
In the context of bilateral cooperation activation, the importance of mutual visits, clarification of the directions for the further expansion of trade and economic relations , joint efforts aimed at enhancing relations in the cultural and scientific-educational spheres was emphasized. According to the constructive discussions, the importance of the regular nature of bilateral consultations was emphasized in accordance to the Plan of the inter-ministerial consultations adopted in Yerevan in 2016 for the upcoming two-year period.
