ArmInfo. Regardless of the fulfillment tripartite agreement on the ceasefire of 1994 among Armenia, Artsakh and Azerbaijan, it prevents large-scaled war. Ex Minister of Defense of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan expressed such an opinion in a press conference.
Answering to ArmInfo correspondent question about latest provocation by Azerbaijan in the Artsakh conflict zone and the shot down of the Armenian ADC "OSA", he expressed opinion that those actions were planned. "Azerbaijan has strategy and tactics. The strategy of Baku is aimed at making the Armenian side to sign a new peace treaty corresponding the Azeri interests, and the tactics is aimed at creation of an atmosphere of fear around the conflict zone. With that they hope that the new agreement will create a new political situation for pro-Azerbaijani settlement of the conflict", Harutyunyan explained.
To note, Azerbaijan shows activity in the conflict zone, more intensively violating the ceasefire. Baku also is shelling the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border and peaceful settlements.
