ArmInfo. Within the framework of reforms implemented in the field of health care and optimization the Health Ministry developed an actions plan, assuming first enlargement of medical centers of the Republic . This was stated by Levon Altounyan, the health Minister, at a press conference in Yerevan. 

He assured also that enlarged and optimized medical centers will be equipped with newest appliances and technique. According to him, the priority task by now  is to lead the  level of medical service of rural medical entities  up to those in capital. The Minister noted also that from 2021, within the purpose of medical employees professional skills, a certification system will be implemented , and the certificates will be issued for 5 year term.

The  Minister accentuated that to implement all the reforms it is necessary to have large assets, which are not available for the country yet, that is why Altounyan decided to drive the shadow turnover of health sector into a white cashbox.

For efficient protection of patients' rights the health Ministry is intended to set the institute of Medical Ombudsman, which will be ruled by EU standards.

Altounyan  focused also on palliative services all over the Republic. Among the innovations the Minister stated the compulsory  HPV preventing  injections.  What is to the funding of the sector, nowadays about AMD 85 bln is allocated from the state budget , but with additional payments to be implemented by patients for medical services, the budget forms AMD 240 bln.

Altounyan mentioned also that, as before, 100 000 state employees will be provided with social packages, including medical insurance. " And the next stage, starting with 2018, will be the provision of 612 000 socially vulnerable persons," the Minister mentioned. 

It was noted also that to secure the transparency of works and expenditures of the sector the implementation of electronic health care system is planned.
