ArmInfo. Every year, an average of 50,000 people leave Armenia, "white genocide", Aram Manukyan, a member of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), told reporters on April 24 at the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex of the Armenian Genocide victims.
Today's generation of Armenians, according to ANC member, has a historical mission to restore justice. "Enough of asking others for mercy. It's time to act and get the enemy to recognize our historical right," he said.
The ANC member is not against the establishment of good-neighborly relations with Turkey. At the same time, he believes that Armenia should "be friends" with Turkey on an equal terms. And for this, according to him, Armenia must be strong, have a strong and legitimate power, which will be respected, and with which others will be considered. "We are going the wrong path of development, which in no way contributes to the restoration of historical justice," Manukyan said. According to Aram Manukyan, the day of commemoration of the victims of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire is the day of generalization of the steps taken and planning of future steps. "Today's authorities must learn from the past, soberly assess the situation and draw relevant conclusions, rather than engage in demonstration of weapons and the organization of children's photoshoots against the background of tanks," resumed Aram Manukyan.
To note, this time, the ANC leader, first president Levon ter-Petrosyan did not visit the memorial complex.
